What we collect when you send an inquiry

• Your name and email address.
• Your project ZIP code, project type, and project description.
• Your agreement to be contacted by email about the inquiry, recorded with the version of that wording.
• The time you submitted.
• The first page of this site you opened in that browser session, without search terms or URL parameters.

As Northline works through inquiries, it also records a status for each one: new, reviewed, or closed.

How we use it

To review your project, check whether an independent contractor connection may be available, and contact you by email about your inquiry. Your email address is also used to limit repeated submissions in a short period.

Who can see it

Inquiries are stored in Northline's inquiry database with our website hosting provider. The inquiry inbox is restricted to Northline's owner.

Sharing with contractors

Submitting the form does not share your details with any contractor. If a contractor connection makes sense, Northline will discuss sharing your details with you first.

Email

Sending the form doesn't trigger an automatic email to you. Northline reviews inquiries and replies by email.

What stays in your browser

The planning checklists, project brief builder, and estimate worksheet run in your browser page and are not submitted unless you place text in the inquiry form yourself. To record which page you entered the site on, the site keeps that page's path in your browser's session storage, which your browser clears when the session ends.

Analytics and advertising

Northline's pages do not load analytics, advertising, or social media tracking scripts. Our hosting provider processes technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site.

Please leave out sensitive information

Don't include financial information, identity documents, or other sensitive details in your inquiry.
